Clint Melnechenko - President & CEO - Global Operations

Clint Melnechenko, currently residing in the Woodland Texas, founded and manages the Global Operations and international expansion of New Horizons Global Inc. Mr. Melnechenko has directly supervised and successfully managed drilling projects and oil and gas assets all over the world and has 25 years international directional drilling and management experience with a collective 34 years in the petroleum industry. Clint has held office as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for Revolution Directional, a directional service company servicing North America as well as the Middle East and Asia.  In addition, Mr. Melnechenko headed up Business Development and Operations for Precision Directional Services, a major oil and gas rig and service company, for North America.  Prior to that Clint acted as Executive VP of Operations with a public E&P oil and gas company that focused on heavy oil operations and production.  Mr. Melnechenko served at Chief Operating Officer and Owner of Exile Drilling and Standard Directional Services and over the course of 4 years built the successful private oil services drilling company that sold to a South American drilling service company.

Clint Has realized a very successful career working and leading teams from all over the world in Oil and Gas Executive Management, Operations and Business Development. His background has led him through a very successful career managing projects or numerous international and domestic oil and gas assets and service companies. Clint has served on numerous boards and is an avid business development professional and consultant. Clint graduated from the University of Regina in 1992.

Pete Vanderveen - COO - Global Operations

Pete Vanderveen recently stepped away as head of directional operations for XTO Energy and ExxonMobil. Pete Vanderveen oversaw one of the largest global drilling projects with 58 drilling projects under his watch. During his 3-year term, he helped lead a 300% improvement in feet per day drilled and helped drive hundreds of millions in savings and efficiencies. Pete was also a key leader in helping launch and optimize ExxonMobil’s global remote center overseeing operations across North and South America. Prior to XTO/ExxonMobil, Pete has been a key player in the success and launch of numerous directional companies across North America. Pete also served as President and CEO of a Native American energy conglomerate. Pete has spent many more years as optimization specialist, directional consultant, wellsite supervisor and founder of multiple fitness and real estate companies.

Derek Krivak - VP - Global Operations

Derek Krivak is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Shift Resources Ltd. a Canadian based E&P Company focused on construction of small scale natural gas to diesel facilities. Prior to Shift he held the role of Director of Unconventional Gas for Hatch Ltd. a private, EPCM engineering firm active in over 125 countries world-wide.
He has spent the last 19 years in the oil and gas industry and the last 12 working in most every facet of delineation, evaluation, and production from unconventional gas reservoirs. Mr. Krivak started his career with the Gas Research Institute, GRI (now the Gas Technology Institute, GTI), moving then to the Alberta Research Council, where he co-founded the Unconventional Gas Research Group. In 2005 he transitioned into the E&P sector taking over as VP of Operations for Stealth Ventures Ltd. a publicly traded oil and gas company active in Coalbed Methane and Shale gas development. Mr. Krivak was subsequently promoted COO and later President, CEO and Director of the Company.

Dan McKain - VP – International Drilling Operations

Daniel McKain has been very successful in both executive, project management and field supervision roles with a very extensive background in the petroleum industry both in N. America and world wide. Daniel was a lead Drilling Superintendent for Canadian Natural Resources, one of the largest major Oil & Gas Producer in Canada, managing projects domestically in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. He then held position of VP of Operations for Bronco Energy. Daniel cut his teeth as a grassroots rig hand and built his career from the bottom up to Drilling Superintendent and VP of Operations through hard work and perseverance gaining a wide range of experience overseas.  Daniel has a wide range of drilling, completion and work over experience in both onshore and offshore operations, Daniel's experience encompasses CBM, heavy oil development, HP shallow gas, HPHT, SAGD, CSS, long range shale gas horizontal wells and special project unconventional reservoir development. Daniel has provided his wide range of experience from more than 28 years in over 30 countries. Daniel currently runs New Horizons Global drilling operations from our overseas remote office.
