Clint Melnechenko - President & CEO - Global Operations

Clint Melnechenko, currently residing in the Woodlands Texas, founded and manages the Global Operations and international expansion of New Horizons Global Inc. Mr. Melnechenko has directly supervised and successfully managed drilling projects and oil and gas assets all over the world and has 25 years international directional drilling and management experience with a collective 34 years in the petroleum industry servicing North America as well as the Russia, Latin America, West Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Melnechenko has held office as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing for service companies in addition to heading up Business Development and Operations for Precision Directional Services, a major oil and gas rig and service company, for North America.  Prior to that Clint acted as Executive VP of Operations with a public E&P oil and gas company that focused on heavy oil operations and production.  Mr. Melnechenko served at Chief Operating Officer and Owner of Exile Drilling and Standard Directional Services and over the course of 4 years built the successful private oil services drilling company that sold to a South American drilling service company.

Clint Has realized a very successful career working and leading teams from all over the world in Oil and Gas Executive Management, Operations and Business Development. His background has led him through a very successful career managing projects for numerous international and domestic oil and gas assets and service companies. Clint has served on numerous boards, been an integral part of numerous start up ventures and is an avid business development professional and consultant. Clint graduated from the University of Regina in 1992.

Scot McCarthy - COO - Global Operations

P. Eng - Natural Gas - Texas A&I University

Mr. McCarthy is an accomplished energy executive with extensive experience leading upstream operations, building high-performance engineering teams, and guiding companies through strategic growth and successful asset divestitures. He currently brings his deep technical and operational expertise to New Horizons. Scott began his career in senior engineering positions with both operators and service companies, gaining hands-on experience across most major U.S. basins as well as the Gulf of Mexico shelf and deepwater. Prior to joining New Horizons, Mr. McCarthy served as a Senior Advisor at Post Oak Energy Capital, where he evaluated potential investment opportunities and conducted technical and operational due diligence on both new and existing management teams. He also contributed to the firm’s fundraising efforts for Post Oak Energy Partners Fund V.Before his advisory role, Mr. McCarthy was the CEO of PetroEdge Energy IV, a Post Oak–sponsored portfolio company, where he oversaw the development and management of Eagle Ford assets. He also managed Eagle Ford operations for two additional Post Oak portfolio companies. Collectively, he and his team managed more than 60,000 acres, optimized production, and implemented a successful EOR project in the oil window, culminating in the divestiture of all three assets in 2021. Earlier in his career, Mr. McCarthy held several key leadership and engineering roles, including Director of Engineering for Calfrac Well Services—where he elevated technical capabilities and built a world-class engineering team—COO for a private E&P company operating across Texas and Mississippi, and VP of Production for a South Texas gas producer, where he completed more than 500 horizontal Eagle Ford and Escondido wells.

Ybes “Pete” Ortez - Vice President - Drilling Engineering

B.S. Petroleum engineering – Texas A&M University (1988)

M.B.A. Management – University Texas Permian Basin (1990)

Pete has over 30 years drilling/completion experience in the oil & gas industry with an emphasis on drilling. With ~500 horizontal wells drilled, Pete has worked with both majors/independents. Majors encompass Mobil, Conoco, ConocoPhillips and Weatherford. Independent experiences include, but not limited to, Escondido Resources, Arrington Oil & Gas and Founders Oil & Gas. Pete has also spent time as an independent consultant. During his career, Pete has worked throughout the southwest encompassing the states of Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, Utah, Colorado, Arkansas and Alabama. Complementing his career, Pete finds balance with his 38 yr marriage to Tina and the companionship of his 3 sons, Nick, Peter and JP.

Ryan McCormick - Vice President – Procurement and Logistics Manager

Ryan McCormick is a seasoned consultant with over 15 years experience in the oil and gas service industry, bringing expertise in downhole drilling technologies, operations, and business leadership. His career began at Smith Bits as a field sales representative, after Smith he moved on to be the District Manager of Triumph Drilling Services. There, he was responsible for overseeing all operations, forecasting, machine shop, drill pipe inspection, downhole tools, hardbanding, and mud motors. He later became Vice President of Ibex Drilling Solutions where he led strategic growth initiatives and enhanced operational performance. Building on his momentum, he founded Commander Downhole Technologies, serving as CEO and driving innovation and customer-focused solutions across the drilling sector.

A proud Texan and dedicated father of two young boys, he's passionate about hockey, BBQ, and hunting with his family.

Mladen Ruzic - Vice President – Completions Engineering

B.S. Petroleum Engineering – Zagreb University (1988)

M.S Petroleum Engineering – Louisianna State University ( 1991)

Mladen Ruzic is an experienced Petroleum Engineer with extensive expertise in Well Completions, Hydraulic Fracturing and Sand Control. In his 34 years in the Oil and Gas Industry, he travelled the World in a variety of field engineering, engineering management and technical sales roles.

In 2011 he transitioned from the Service side of the E&P business and pursued roles in Completions Engineering and Field Completions Operations for HESS Corporation in South Texas, and later with EQT and Lewis Energy Group as an Operations Coordinator-Superintendent. He also extensively consulted in Shale Fracturing in all basins across USA.

Mladen is a native of Croatia and a graduate of University of Zagreb with B.S. in Petroleum Engineering (1988) and Louisiana State University where he earned a M.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering (1991).

Chad Touchet - Chief Technology Officer

B.S Chemistry – University of Louisianna – Lafayette ( 1994)

Mr. Touchet brings to New Horizons over 30 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector. He previously served as the VP of Operations for Bluescape Energy Partners, where he managed over two billion dollars in assets across drilling, completions, and midstream operations. Additionally, Mr. Touchet sat on the board of directors for Aleanna Energy. Prior to his role at Bluescape, he served as a worldwide completions advisor for Occidental Petroleum and an engineering manager for Baker Hughes. Throughout his career, Mr. Touchet has been involved in over 6,000 completions across nearly every major resource play worldwide, making him a highly experienced and respected figure in the industry.
